Shannon Hale entered the scene as a young adult writer. Her series The Books of Bayern were fantastic! Start with Goose Girl and keep going! They are of the fantasy genre and are a great read. Shannon is an excellent writer and story weaver.
My favorite adult book by Shannon is "Austenland." A funny read for Jane Austen fans.
There's nothing better than cuddling up with a quilt and a good book in the winter!
