Slow Cooker Pork Barbacoa (cafe rio copycat)

okay, ladies, after reading rachel's post i thought i'd share the rest of the cafe rio secrets with you. my family is doing a shower tomorrow for my cousin and we are doing this for the food. which meant i had to search my recipes to find these... so while i have them out i thought i'd pass it along...





slow cooker pork barbacoa...
(this one is better than the other recipe below for the pork)
Ingredients



5 lbs pork
1 pkg onion soup mix
12 oz Dr. Pepper
4 oz taco sauce
1 c brown sugar
dash cumin
1 pkg taco seasoning

Sprinkle soup mix over roast. Cover with water 1/2 way. Cook on high 4 to 6 hours. Drain. Shred.
Add remaining ingredients, stir until mixed. Cook 1 more hour.
