From left to right: Clean canning jars I was going to use until I had 2 disappointing batches of pie filling. Now they will just sit there under the towel until I am not mad about my canning experience anymore. Steam. Stove top corn popper with leftovers from last night. Under the striped towel is the 2nd disappointing batch of apple pie filling. Then comes the countertop and a peek at the sink full of dishes leftover from this week. I am just too lazy to wash them by hand. It does look better than yesterday though. What you don't see is a bar full of lunch crumbs and a floor that really needs to be swept and mopped.
Yes I do know that a toddler's room is supposed to be messy. But this is yesterday's mess. Except for the pillow under the crib. That is left over from the tantrum the toddler threw when she was in timeout in her crib this morning.
Why take the laundry all the way down when you can just toss it over the safety gate to the landing to pick up later.
A couple of mounds of laundry from last weekend's camping trip. There's a couple more behind me. And yes walked past the mound of laundry on the stairs to get to this and didn't pick it up.This week hasn't been the greatest for me. I typically keep some type of order around here.

This is kind of fun! :) I used to throw my laundry down the stairs in our old house too... sometimes you couldn't walk down the stairs with all the mess. ;)
jenny, i throw the laundry down the stairs too. and the only reason it EVER gets moved is because the most frequent door that is used by my family, neighbors, and friends is the one right at the top of the stairs... ps- i have a really good apply pie filling recipe that is super easy!!! i'll look for it and post it asap!!! but, if you want you can just come over one day and we can bottle together over kids playing on the swingset, laughing about my hellhole i call home and a diet pepsi. sound good?
